Jumpcut: A Clipboard Manager

February 6th, 2007 by steveblue

Sometimes I copy and paste something, then copy something else, forgetting I really needed the information I copied in the first place. Or maybe I regret cutting that section of text from a document and I want to recover it.

Enter Jumpcut, a neat little menu bar utility that saves what I have copy and pasted.

Jumpcut in action.

“Jumpcut is an application that provides “clipboard buffering” — that is, access to text that you’ve cut or copied, even if you’ve subsequently cut or copied something else. The goal of Jumpcut’s interface is to provide quick, natural, intuitive access to your clipboard’s history.”

Download Jumpcut from here.

I find Jumpcut particularly useful, so I can install the application as a Login Item. This means whenever I startup my Mac, Jumpcut will open too.

Open System Preferences and click Accounts.
Click the Login Items Tab.
Now click the plus sign under the list.
Navigate to Jumpcut in my Applications folder and Select it.
